Our Story
Edible Ideas Inc is a hospitality company based in Dallas, Texas started by Douglas Brown in 2003 with the opening of Beyond the Box Market in downtown Dallas. Since then the company has grown and developed into much more. Edible Ideas currently owns and operates Beyond the Box Catering, Beyond the Box Weddings, and some of the top Dallas venues including The Carlisle Room, Classic Oaks Venue, The Belle Manor and The Castle at Rockwall.
Beyond the Box Catering is a full-service catering and event company that has been servicing the DFW area since 2004 with experience in events of all types, styles and sizes. We are proud to deliver a "Complete Service" guarantee to our guests and clients, meaning that we will assist you with every detail of your event from start to finish to help ensure that nothing gets overlooked or forgotten. We make sure to ask the right questions and cover even the smallest details. This is why, in addition to food and beverages, Beyond the Box offers professional staffing, tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, silverware, floral and event equipment. We want to make the process as simple as possible so all you have to do is enjoy the evening.
Beyond the Box Weddings caters hundreds of weddings every year. Our goal is to provide top quality service to all of our clients from the moment you book to the moment your event ends. We offer menus sure to please everyone and pride ourselves on always using the best and freshest ingredients. We specialize in creative cuisine and never shy away from creating custom menus to assure all of our clients' requests are met. In addition to fulfilling all of your catering needs, Beyond the Box Weddings also provides numerous other catering services and rental options, we are your one stop shop for all of your wedding needs.
Our Event Venues are all unique with the variety sure to please any style. From classic elegance and modern luxury at The Carlisle Room in the heart of downtown Dallas, a truly one of a kind venue and real life castle we call The Castle at Rockwall, our rustic barn venue set on 200 acres in Mansfield, Texas known as Classic Oaks Venue or our waterfront venue, The Belle Manor, that serves as your own private oasis in Burleson, Texas. No matter what your style or event needs, we have something to offer you!
